New Artist Joshua Stallings Releases Debut Single And Book Taking The Entertainment World By Storm
New song 'Delabre' and book 'Truth Be Told' Leaves Powerful Impression for Up and Coming Artist.

Today marks the arrival of Joshua's highly anticipated debut single, 'Délabré', along with his first tell-all book 'Truth Be Told: The Story Behind the Heartbreak'. Joshua Stallings is a Pop/Rock artist with soul influence whose work has been garnering attention via YouTube and Bandcamp for the months leading up to the release of ' Délabré '.
Délabré is a track with a base of echoing vocal instrumentation told in a first person perspective to a disloyal former lover. Recorded in January 2014 in his home studio, Stallings describes the song as "something I've always wanted to say in person but couldn't get out due to my feelings being so hurt. It's basically my way of telling them 'hey, even though I know this won't bother you, you really messed me up'".
Stallings has fostered a love of singing for most of his life. He was born in San Bernardino, California and moved around the Inland Empire, and throughout his life has often taken comfort in his love of music and the freedom of expression that music can offer. He has a strong interest in self-improvement, research, and hard work when it comes to his career. He has worked tirelessly to learn the industry inside and out, he is a self-taught pianist and guitarist, produces all of his own graphics, and has written hundreds of songs, capitalizing on personal experiences, both negative and positive.
"Music is my passion; it's my way of expressing any emotion that I feel like simple spoken words can't explain. When I write music, I try to give a voice to emotions that people are afraid to state; a no-holds-barred approach to laying all cards out. I want people to feel connected to me and more importantly - to themselves. Music has been a constant lifesaver and has taught me so many lessons. This relationship that I have with music is what constantly inspires me to push forward and continue to purse my passion," stated Stallings.
Stallings is also an openly gay artist, who is active in the promotion of equality rights. "I feel like sometimes when people find out that I'm gay they turn a slight cheek to my art. I've had people tell me that they feared they couldn't connect with my music being heterosexual but in music I find that it's really important to give a perspective that isn't always shown, but in the same breath a lot of my material isn't told in a way where I introduce the terms 'he/him'; it's usually told in first person to the person I'm writing and singing about which brings forth 'you/me/we', so it can be reflective of anybody's situation. It's all about how open you are to receiving art from a different standpoint that you realize it's not as different from something you would make yourself".
'Truth Be Told: The Story Behind the Heartbreak' is a behind-the-scenes foreword to his record "Confessions of a Heartbreak" due out later this year. In the book, Stallings relives his personal account of unrequited love with a close friend, and explains the daily events, emotions, turmoil, growth and ultimate recovery from a situation that caused depression, sickness, alcoholism, co-dependency and self harm.
