"These are the songs of my childhood. I grew up with a multi-tude of influences as coming from a large Latin American family can afford. It was only with time that I knew these were not just local songs, but songs of the world."

"Creating this album has got to be one of the most difficult projects I have undertook, as they were all done by VERY great artists and I did not want to do any injustice to the arrangements. I kept the very core and spirit of the songs and only reworked them to an instrumental capacity using the clarinet as the lead vocal melody."
