New Age Pianist Richard P John Releases 'Echoes'
British composer Richard P John talks about his new album 'Echoes'.
- (1888PressRelease) November 28, 2011 - A year after the release of his second album 'November', the British pianist and composer has recorded and his released his third solo piano album entitled Echoes. The composer writes: "Echoes is darker in tone than my previous two albums (Passing Thoughts and November), despite a wider variety in harmony, dynamics and texture. This is deliberate as I wanted to create a different sound, mood and atmosphere than that which I had previously written. Also, it is the last music that I'll write in my twenties, and I think maybe when writing it there was a part of me that was reflecting and mulling over the past 30 years of my life. This explains the title. Some of the music 'echoes' my previous music in that there are themes, chord progressions etc. that have been used in my previous work, albeit disguised slightly through the use of variations in key and texture.
Echoes is available from iTunes, AmazonMP3 and Bandcamp.
