NetCom Learning Awards its August Sarder Scholarship to IT Student Nathan Hoar
Presented each month to a different, promising student interested in the IT industry, the Sarder Scholarship promotes continuing education and a pursuit of knowledge.
- (1888PressRelease) October 09, 2011 - NetCom Learning announced that its August Sarder Scholarship was awarded to IT student Nathan Hoar. The $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a different student each month to encourage students to continue their IT education.
Hoar has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and has been an ABA Therapist since 2009. He's making the transition into a career in the IT field by pursuing an IT education. Hoar is pursuing certifications in A+ and Network+ through NetCom Learning.
"This scholarship will allow me to pay for the training that NetCom Learning offers and to gain valuable certifications that would pave the way for a fulfilling career in Information Technology," says Hoar .
Named for benefactor Russell Sarder, chairman and CEO of NetCom Learning, the scholarship is one of the many ways Sarder gives back to the community. The award helps promote Sarder's mission to develop an environment that encourages lifelong learning.
"This scholarship is intended to encourage and inspire students to continue with their career in the IT industry and that's exactly what it does. Seeing each scholarship winner go on to use the award to move forward in learning is exciting for us at NetCom Learning, but it's also encouraging for other students to see as well," Sarder notes.
