NetCom Learning Announces its Recent $2,500 IT Sarder Scholarship Winner
The September scholarship will help honoree Kimberly Noh achieve certifications and transition her business into a more sustainable model in the current market environment.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) November 04, 2011 - Netcom Learning has awarded another $2,500 scholarship to a student seeking to improve IT skills, the company announced today. Kimberly Noh is the Sarder Scholarship winner for the month of September, and she will use the award to obtain IT certifications critical to helping her business grow in a new direction.
Noh has owned a bookkeeping company for more than 16 years, and the recent economic downturn has had a negative effect on her business. Receiving the Sarder Scholarship will allow her to add to her ProAdvisor with QuickBooks certification and gain increased skills in the Microsoft product line in order to offer more services to clients. She hopes she can transition her business to one that handles all the back-office needs of other small businesses.
"This scholarship will help me achieve my career objective by eliminating the financial burden that I would have had while obtaining my certification. I am grateful to Russell Sarder for making this experience possible for a small business owner. I want to prove to myself that I can set goals and meet them. Without this scholarship, my goal and dream would not become a reality," Noh said.
The Sarder Scholarship is a $2,500 award offered to a different student each month to allow the further pursuit of an education in IT. It's named for benefactor Russell Sarder, who is Chairman and CEO of NetCom Learning. The scholarship is a way to give back to the community and further the company's mission of promoting the value of lifelong learning.
