Masterclass Series #3:
Designing and Building a Hybrid Solution on Azure by Mr Ryan CrawCour
We've all built applications for the Windows Azure platform and are already familiar with all the individual bits and pieces of the platform, but how many of us have built a solution that encompasses the many varied aspects of the platform and tied the individual offerings together in to an Enterprise scale application that spans both on-premises (your or someone else's) and the Cloud (Windows Azure and other)?
In this session we will take a look at the various components of the platform and how they are designed to work together. The delegates will then work with an instructor and walk through a practical example of a how to use the individual pieces of the Windows Azure platform to build a solution that spans on-premises and the cloud showing you how to handle aspects like messaging, secure connectivity, authentication and authorisation.
We will cover topics like SQL Data Sync, AppFabric ServiceBus, AccessControl, Windows Azure Connect. At the end of the session we will take a sneak peak in to what is coming to the platform shortly in the form of Windows Azure AppFabric Composite Applications, currently available in CTP, and how this will assist in building up composite distributed applications in Windows Azure. This is a jam packed session aimed at the experienced Windows Azure developer looking to learn how to tie it all together.
