Compatible with 95 percent of low-voltage heating and cooling systems, the Nest Learning Thermostat remembers what temperatures homeowners like, creates a custom schedule for their home, and turns itself down when they are away.
The Nest Learning Thermostat is designed to address the reality of home energy consumption: that the thermostat controls about half of the average home's power-more than appliances, lighting, TVs, computers and stereos combined. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that programmable thermostats can save home energy bills up to 20% annually by eliminating excessive heating or cooling. The Nest Learning Thermostat enables energy saving features that are specific to each customer by using sensors and software algorithms to monitor usage patterns and measure each home's thermal profile.
