Neopolia Rail Cluster rolls in for INNOTRANS trade show
Neopolia Rail Cluster, which comprises 37 member companies with complementary know-how and recognised industrial expertise, will take part in the French Pavillion at the INNOTRANS trade show in Berlin from 21 to 24 September 2010.
- (1888PressRelease) September 18, 2010 - Set up in the Pays de la Loire region, the cluster's members are recognised for their industrial expertise in the rail market. Thanks to its diverse pool of skills, Neopolia Rail Cluster is able to offer comprehensive solutions for the rolling stock and infrastructure sectors, which will be showcased at INNOTRANS in Berlin, in September.
With its ability to steer collaborative projects, Neopolia Rail Cluster is in a position to propose a wide range of solutions suitable for projects of all sizes, ranging from design to the manufacturing of parts and equipment, including industrial-process management and tooling, and related support services. As well as offering the advantage of a single contact point, Neopolia promotes the multi-skilled services offered by its members, which meet the increasingly diverse requirements of prime contractors. Costs and deadlines are controlled thanks to the synergy between the companies, which allows purchases to be pooled.
Main operators in the rail sector already call on the services of Neopolia Rail Cluster member companies, thanks to their expertise in the various phases of the production of rolling stock, freight or passenger-transport equipment. The design phase can be undertaken, starting with product engineering, including calculations and electromagnetic compatibility and vibratory analysis, up to the modelling and prototyping stage.
Member companies are also able to produce a range of small to large-sized structural parts and assemblies, on-board systems, test rigs, traction systems, interior fittings and exterior liveries. In the field of fixed installations and infrastructures, the cluster's companies undertake the design, engineering and manufacturing of electrical, control-and-command, signalling, platform and station equipment, as well as tooling.
Neopolia Rail Cluster also benefits from close links with Technocampus EMC˛, a centre for teaching and research in engineering, and EMC˛, the innovation cluster specialising in complex metal and composite assemblies, both of which are major features of the technological and industrial fabric of the Pays de la Loire region.
