The start up company hopes to receive its funding goal of $16,000 by September 28th in order to begin manufacturing and selling their product. They have amassed over 2000 fans on Facebook in preparation for their campaign, and their product has been embraced by people from all walks of life. Runners and walkers who are looking for a way to stand out, more than just with flashlights and hope, are praising the product as revolutionary. And the fashion community has also embraced the new light up wear, claiming it will be the next big thing in fashion.
Among their stretch goals is something you don't see everyday on Kickstarter, a pledge to help someone else. While preparing for his campaign, Sheldon got a message from Tonya Ankeney about her daughter Audra. Audra is disabled and her mother would fear for her safety every night while she played outside in her wheelchair. Overwhelmed by Tonya's story, Sheldon made plans to hand deliver her several samples of his light up hoodie. Upon delivery, he was so impressed with Audra's attitude and life outlook... he decided then and there to try to help her become more able. Their $100,000 stretch goal will enable Sheldon to help develop and create a prosthetic limb for Audra.
