  • Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill, NC-SC (1888PressRelease) June 13, 2014 - NC Massage School announces an upcoming refresher Teacher Training Class to offer continuing education credits to massage teachers who have already completed Teaching! Getting Started or Teacher Training Intensive. The course offers seven continuing education credits and will be offered Sunday, August 10 and Monday, August 11 at NC Massage School's Cornelius, North Carolina location. Nancy Toner Weinberger is scheduled to teach the course.

The course offers a thorough refresher of introductory course's offering. It starts with a review of the topics covered in the Teaching! Getting Started course. It also will touch on a few topics that were not addressed in the introductory course, delving deeper into information about curriculum, syllabus creation, learning objectives, material presentation and lesson planning. The end result is better skill for teachers who are working as current massage school instructors or those who are hoping to teach in a massage school.

The course is open for licensed massage therapists who have a minimum of two years of experience in an active massage therapy practice. Current teachers and teacher's aids in massage schools are also welcome to take the course. The only prerequisite is completion of Teaching! Getting Started or Teacher Training Intensive.

The course begins on August 10 at 2:00, and the Sunday session runs until 6. The Monday morning session goes from 9:30 until 12:30. The two-day sessions costs $100. This discounted rate earns the students seven continuing education credits. Upon completion, students will have completed the teacher training requirements for North Carolina's massage schools.

For those who have not completed Teaching! Getting Started, the class is being offered the same weekend on August 8 and 9. Students can take both courses at the same time if they wish, allowing them to complete all of the requirements in one weekend.
