NC Center For Women In Public Service Executive Director Speaks At 2012 Women's History Month Event
Annette Taylor Presents Historical Facts Regarding Women In Advocacy.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2012 - Annette Taylor, executive director of the NC Center for Women in Public Service (NCCWPS) (http://www.nccwps.org), a nonpartisan organization that prepares women for elected and appointed offices statewide, has announced that she will speak at the 2012 Women's History Month Celebration on Tuesday, March 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the N.C. Museum of History, located at 5 E. Edenton St. Sponsored by the NC Council for Women as a celebration and networking event in honor of Women's History Month, the event is free and open to the public. Taylor's presentation will feature historical reflections regarding women in advocacy.
Other speakers at the event will include Anita Brown-Graham, director, Institute for Emerging Issues, Billie Redmond, Coldwell Banker Commercial Trademark Properties, Dr. Laura Gerald, N.C. State Health Director, Wake County District Court Judge Christine Walczyk, and by Erin Byrd, member of Fruit of Labor Singing Ensemble, who will read a poem.
The event is sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc./Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter, the American Association of University Women, Democratic Women of Wake County, N.C. Council for Women, N.C. Museum of History, N.C. Women United, The Community Deli, Wake County Republican Women's Club, Whole Foods and the Women's Forum of NC.
