Leading manufacturer of Expanded Polystyrene and Packing, NPPF Dubai, organizes and sponsors The Hag Al Laila celebrations - a traditional event in Arab countries.
- (1888PressRelease) May 31, 2017 - The Hag Al Laila celebration is an annual event held in the United Arab Emirates and other Arab countries, to usher in the holy month of Ramadan. The 2017 edition of the event held at Gems public school was sponsored by leading expanded polystyrene packaging maunfacturer, National Polystyrene Packaging Factory L.L.C., Dubai.
The Hag Al Laila celebrations originated hundreds of years ago. Emirati Mohammed Al Awadhi while describing the Hag Al Laila celebrations said, "These celebrations precede the holy month of Ramadan and the occasion is marked on Sha'aban 15 ... Hag Al Laila is one the several customs and traditions we inherited from our ancestors. The occasion links the children to their heritage and creates a sense of connecting to the past. It also indicates family solidarity, which distinguishes the Muslims."
The event held on the 15th day of the month of Sha'aban in the Islamic calendar, fell on May 11, 2017. It was sponsored by NPPF as part of the company's drive to give back to the society. The event was organized by NPPF after getting inspired from the initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, 2017, who described it as the "year of giving".
One of the products and services offered by NPPF is Styrofoam/ polystyrene art and decoration products and the company sponsored by celebration by providing decorations to beautify the venue. The event also featured a qu-ran competition which NPPF also sponsored by providing participants with gifts and prize money.
During the Hag Al Laila celebrations, children also get sweets as they go from house to house carrying the message of the event.
