- (1888PressRelease) January 22, 2020 - The famous quote by Mother Teresa ‘If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one’ is perfectly apt for the project run by ‘National Organisation of Social Empowerment’ i.e. ‘National NGO Kitchen’ for the underprivileged in Delhi NCR.
The ‘National NGO Kitchen’ is an initiative started on the 15th of May, 2019, to solve the problem of world hunger by providing adequate nutritious food to the ones in need with the support and participation of the public. Through the National NGO Kitchen initiative, the NGO strive to feed as many under privileged people as they sustainably can, to move towards a Hunger Free India.
Through this project, the National NGO tries to ensure that everyone’s basic human right to be free from hunger is respected and enforced. The founder of the NGO ‘Mr. Amandeep Singh’ plans to expand the project to the national and International level in future. The core vision of the project is to end world hunger and ensure that there is bread for every breath.
The current objectives of the National NGO Kitchen are:
• To prepare hygienic and nutritious food in the NGO base kitchen and distribute it, not only to 500 people as they currently do, but to expand their reach to thousands of hungry people across the nation.
• To introduce a tiffin delivery system that will include distribution of food to the needy through tiffin boxes prepared in their base kitchen and the targeted beneficiaries of this system will mainly be patients, toddlers, and older people, who are incapable of preparing food for them.
• To establish Community Food Banks across Delhi NCR, to collect food and funds given by people through donations and then deliver them directly to the ones in need.
• To encourage anyone who can, to adopt a person, family, or community and take up the responsibility to feed them.
