National Metals and Options Exchange Hosts Employment Summit
The 3-day employment summit brought together 170 participants from National Metals and Options Exchange's corporate offices in Europe, Asia, United States, and South America.
- (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2013 - Keeping up with the essence of this year's theme - "Lessons from the Past, Instruments for the Future" - participants responsively shared exchanged concepts and imparted the lessons they have gained over the past 15 years with associates and teammates. The programme included daily plenary and contemporary sessions, poster making and presentation, and reception on the first night.
Summit highpoints comprised core speaker Sheridan Gill's treatise of multi-tier approach to improving employment recruitment and economic security of employees with disabilities. Ms. Sheridan put emphasis on recruitment changes that would bring in and attract professionals with the needed skills.
Plenary speaker Abigail Fitch tackled the regulations covering health care for employees with disabilities. Peter Moody supplemented Abigail's topic with a discussion on the opportunities in-store for employees with disabilities. Peter continued on differentiating opportunities for those who gained disability while employed and coming in as new employee with a disability.
The summit organizers were also thankful for the feedback from the summit attendees. "The teamwork, discussion, and exchange from this summit gave us plenty of insights and data to work on," commented one participant. In response to numerous suggestions, Felicia Pittman, Summit Advisor, said "The feedback gave us more ideas to work on for next year's summit. We will try to put in a more interactive set-up focusing on strengthening sustainability and imparting "success stories" among participants.
