National Housing Federation updates Payroll, HR and Staff Time Management with fully integrated solution from Carval Computing
Carval Computing has been selected by the National Housing Federation (Federation) to supply fully integrated Payroll, Time and Attendance and HR software.
- (1888PressRelease) November 22, 2013 - Buckinghamshire, UK - The Carval system, HR Unity, went live recently and is now handling two payrolls that cover all 135 staff at the Federation, as well as providing a flexi-time system and a full range of HR features. Additionally, staff are able to check their personnel records and outstanding leave balances using the Self-Service facility provided by the system. HR Unity replaces the organisations old payroll software that did not meet the requirements of RTI (Real Time Information). Having worked with HMRC on the RTI Pilot Scheme, Carval was one of the first vendors to bring to market a fully compliant solution.
Paul Bayly, Membership Manager at the Federation said; Knowing that we would need to find a new payroll solution if we were to be RTI compliant, the Federation decided to look for a fully integrated system. After a full tender process HR Unity from Carval was selected as it most closely met our comprehensive list of requirements. Staff particularly like the simple style and the ease of use of the new system.
Employees at the Federation work flexi-time and are now able to log in and out either via card readers located at the Federations three sites in London, Manchester and Bristol, or from their desktops. This is particularly beneficial for Federations home and mobile workers. Going forward hours collected by the Time and Attendance software will be fed directly into the payroll software, saving time for the payroll department. The Self-Service facility within HR Unity enables managers to view details of staff in their departments and authorise holiday/leave online, while staff are able to check their personal details, holiday entitlements and balances, and make requests for holiday or other leave.
John Ovington, Sales and Support Director at Carval Computing said; We continue to see the demand for a truly integrated solution. Organisations like the Federation see the benefit of a single system for all HR/employee related processes and information. Not only does full integration save time as there is no rekeying of data, it also ensures integrity of data, something that is important for organisations of all sizes whether in the public or private sectors.
