National Baseball Hall Of Fame And MPI Launch Limited-edition Coin Series
On June 12, 2014, the National Baseball Hall of Fame will celebrate its 75th Anniversary-and MPI has been selected to help commemorate the anniversary with a unique, limited edition coin series.

The series will culminate with the release of the official U.S. Mint Hall of Fame commemorative coin in early 2014. Each of the series' privately minted bronze coins measure 39mm in diameter and will feature special packaging that includes a timeline highlighting the great baseball moments of each era, along with rare photos and artifacts from the Hall's collection. The initial coin in the series is set for a June release and highlights the first 25 years of the Hall of Fame from 1939 to 1964. The design on the obverse (front) side of the coin features an image of the Baseball Hall of Fame building as it stood when it first opened its doors in 1939, with the Hall of Fame logo depicted on the reverse side. The package details the story of how the Hall of Fame was established in Cooperstown, as well as interesting facts and artifact images from the first Induction Ceremony, Jackie Robinson's breaking of the color-barrier, Bobby Thomson's "Shot Heard Round the World" and much more.
