National Author Twala Meju Celebrates Loving The Skin I'm In At The Historical Apex Museum
The APEX Museum embraces Author Twala Meju as she celebrates the differences that makes us so unique and special.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2011 - Twala Mejú, author of the critically acclaimed children's book, "Mommy, Why Is My Skin So Dark?" in association with The APEX Museum presents "Loving the Skin I'm In" Meet and Greet and Book signing. This red carpet(red carpet starts at 2:30pm) cultural experience will be held on November 12, 2011 at The APEX Museum 135 Auburn Avenue in Atlanta, GA 30303. This event starts at 3:00pm and ends at 5pm.
Mommy, Why Is My Skin So Dark is a sincere approach to etch beauty, uniqueness and pride into our various characteristics and cultures. Twala Mejú transformed a conversation that hatched between mother and daughter into an opportunity to encourage and empower little girls of all colors and hues.
Specially Invited Guests Include Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, NAACP Members, Education Elites and Board Members and Atlanta Gambia Emergency Relief Association. Live performances and the nationally demanded skit, "We R My People", will be performed by Star House Entertainment's Professional African Dancers and Actors.
