"I want to thank NAWBO Central Jersey for considering me worthy of being a candidate for this prestigious award," said Fuller. "I have been proud to serve this organization and to work with youth and adults in my community to help them achieve their potential as entrepreneurs."
Fuller is president of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Central Jersey Chapter (NAWBO-CJ). She serves as vice-president of marketing for the New Jersey Chapter of The Project Management Institute, an international, non-profit professional organization. She volunteers her time as a member of the steering committee for the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens Entrepreneur Ministry.
When she left her corporate career, Barbara started Process and Project Solutions, a management consulting firm. However, after prompting by important people in her life, she formed Focus on You NOW! a consulting and coaching business specializing in small businesses. Today, she's affecting an entire community through her work with entrepreneurs and in classrooms through her entrepreneurial training for young people.
After realizing our children desperately need innovative approaches to learning about the world of business, she formed Bizney Universe, LLC. Its first project is a video game to inspire, educate and motivate children to become business owners. The game is set to be released later this year.
She is in relentless pursuit of her mission "to be a catalyst to change the education system." As a part of Bizney Universe, LLC, she created Bizney University and Build-a-Biz Summer Camp to inspire young people to be business owners. She is collaborating with community educators with the aim of bringing a similar curriculum to after-school programs.
She has also created the Lemonade Stand Business Challenge for her church youth in 2011 and has, for the past two years, partnered with Rutgers University in the National "Lemonade Day" event. Both events are aimed at helping youth understand the inner workings of owning a business.
