  • Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) May 19, 2015 - Graham F. Janson, Owner and Principal Consultant of myLabWidget, Inc., has been selected as an Executive of the Year Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals.

Beginning his career as a QC Analyst in GMP Laboratories with Glaxo Wellcome (later GSK) in 1997 upon completion of college, Graham F. Janson was promoted to Laboratory System Manager a few years later. Responsible for a large LIMS an LES deployment across several geographical locations, he later transitioned into a consulting position with the VelQuest Corporation after moving to the Boston area with his family in 2005. After several acquisitions, Mr. Janson became the Director of Professional Services for BIOVIA LIMS (a Dassault Systemés brand). Discovering an unmet need in the marketplace to provide clients with informed, impartial advice as to how to effectively work with vendors and efficiently conduct software deployment products, he founded myLabWidget, Inc. in 2015.

"With my level of knowledge and experience across disciplines I am able to be a very effective cross-team communicator," Mr. Janson said. "I have a tremendous talent to be able to listen to requirements from Laboratory Management and Sccientists and then be able to package and present them to software vendors and IT departments. I have always been adept at 'out of the box' thinking and creating problem solving, but the trick is to be objective as possible while empathizing with clients' wants and needs."

Responsible for sales, business development, and service delivery as owner and principal consultant of myLabWidget, Inc., Mr. Janson provides expert knowledge in the fields of GMP compliance, software selection and deployment, vendor management, and laboratory continuous improvement.

Hoping to bring together similar individuals like himself, Mr. Janson would like to grow his consultancy business to have a broader reach. He also hopes to look for market opportunities for simple to use, targeted solutions for the industry that would be easily deployed in every laboratory regardless of size.

Mr. Janson is a recipient of a President's Award from BIOVIA for being a highly valued impact player. He is a current member of Royal Society of Chemistry and holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of East Anglia, UK.
