National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Jake Benton as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry

- Longview, TX (1888PressRelease) January 23, 2015 - Jake Benton, Owner of Benton Consulting, LLC, has been selected as an Executive of the Year Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals.
Jake Benton began working in the oil and gas industry in 1980. Spending the first nine years of his career as an equipment operator, he learned every job as best he could, as well as how to use every piece of equipment available to enable him to secure employment throughout his career.
"Having to relocate several times to avoid being laid off, I learned the great importance of versatility," Mr. Benton said, who is now the owner of Benton Consulting, LLC. "It was humbling and extremely worthwhile as the foundation for my current position as a consultant, and I have never asked for anyone to do a job or task I haven't done myself."
Now, with more than 30 years of experience in the field, Mr. Benton oversees the entire completion process from when the drilling rig leaves location until they begin producing the well. He maintains a level of health, safety, and environmental awareness that is second to none, and holds a primary responsibility of keeping everyone he works with safe at all times to minimize any and all potential risks. As a consultant, Mr. Benton is able to constantly help and respond to situations that require a high level of expertise.
During the 29 years that Mr. Benton spent in the service sector for Nowsco, Halliburton, The Western Company of North America/BJ Services, Liberty/Trican & Infinistar, he worked with all major product services lines, which include but are not limited to: cementing, fracturing, coiled tubing, tools, wireline/slickline, snubbing, acidizing, and nitrogen, giving him a wide range of knowledge and skills in the field.
Hoping to maintain a small number of very experienced consultants that work with him to provide the type of service that he feels has been lost, Mr. Benton also aspires to own and operate a pressure pumping company in the near future. Currently working to maintain his great reputation as a consultant, he continues to provide expertise with a high level of ethics, morals, and integrity, which he believes is the true meaning of success.
Mr. Benton holds an Associate's Degree in Business from Wharton Junior College. He is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Association of Drilling Engineers, and International Association of Drilling Engineers.
