National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Hadi Dastbaz as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry

- Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (1888PressRelease) December 10, 2014 - Hadi Dastbaz, Former Acting Vice-President, Central Insurance of Iran, has been selected as an Executive of the Year Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals.
Hadi Dastbaz began his career working for Central Insurance of Iran in 1971 as a newly established governmental organization for compulsory reinsurance and supervising of the Iranian market. First starting out as the life reinsurance manager, then as assistant director for compulsory cession through the domestic market according to the establishment act of Central Insurance of Iran, then as director of international affairs, member of the technical committee and finally the acting VP before retiring, Mr. Dastbaz initially studied insurance due to a big gap of an advanced market and lack of insurance access the people had in his country.
"My belief is that when someone chooses a career they should be the best according to their own abilities and take advantage of the facilities available to them," Mr. Dastbaz said. "This was the most important factor that has contributed to my success."
Mr. Dastbaz attended two different courses of life and non-life insurance in SITC (Swiss Insurance Training Center) in 1972 and 1974. He joined Chamber of Commerce Industry and Mines in 1990 and served as Deputy Secretary General in INC/ICC (Iranian International Chamber of Commerce). He was then assigned as Secretary General before finally served as vice-chairman until 2009. He was one of the founder members of Hafez Insurance Company registered in free zone area of Kish. He joined Karafarin Insurance Company, the first private insurance company registered in main land as a founding member in 2003 and served as a full-time member of the board of directors for six years. Mr. Dastbaz is one of the board members and is the managing director of the Risk Management Company of Iran (IRMO), which was established in 1999. He was also director of the editorial board of Iran Insurance Market Report, which has been published by IRMO.
Hoping to train people to become experts in the Iranian insurance industry and write and translate the insurance/reinsurance books, Mr. Dastbaz wants to cover the gap between the advanced markets in his country. He has already authored three books, two of which have been recognized by Federation of Afro-Asian Insurer and Reinsurer as the best books in the Afro-Asian market. The third book has been chosen as the best book in insurance by R&D Center, which is affiliated with Central Insurance of Iran. Mr. Dastbaz has also written many articles relevant to insurance, economic, nationalization, and deregulation in both monthly and quarterly magazines for the Iran Chamber of Commerce Industry and Mines, the Central Insurance of Iran, and Iran Insurance Market Reports.
Mr. Dastbaz has served as an associate lecturer for Tehran University, Alameh Tabatabai University, Azad Islamic University, and for the ECO International College of Insurance. He's been a member of various professional organizations and has been honored as an outstanding figure in the insurance industry of Iran for supervision and education. Mr. Dastbaz holds a BA in English Literature from Ferdousi University and an MA in Political Science from Karachi University.
