National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Matthew D. Towne as a Professional Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry

- Manchester-Nashua, NH (1888PressRelease) December 03, 2014 - Matthew D. Towne, President of Northeast Industrial Safety Systems, has been selected as a Professional of the Year Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals.
Matthew D. Towne began his career in the safety in 1993 after spending several years in nursing. Now president, lead consultant, and speaker for Northeast Industrial Safety Systems, Mr. Towne provides consultations to ensure the safety systems are fully developed and providing a safe work environment. His experience in managing risk in industrial settings, coupled with working with all layers of management, he is able to achieve great results as measured by fewer injuries, less cost, and by improving safety audit scores.
"I spent the first part of my adult life as the nursing manager of an intensive care setting," Mr. Towne explained about his former years. "I saw many patients arrive with serious and ultimately fatal injuries from their work environment. Fixing their medical problem is good, but preventing it in the first place is far better."
Hoping to continue reaching out to businesses in need of practical, hands on experience to understand the inherent risks of their business and then manage and control them, Mr. Towne is excited for his future years in the consulting business. Mr. Towne will also be conducting a series of five classes beginning on December 4, 2014 called '10 Essential Subjects Every Contractor Should Know'. Each class will deal with two subjects. Mr. Towne holds a BSN from the University of New Hampshire and is a certified CSP through the Bureau of Certified Safety Professionals since 1995. He formerly served as director of safety for a Fortune 50 company and received the Tyco Excellence Award for his work with them. He's also previously served as president of the Safety and Health Council of New England.
