Founded in July 2010, Steven P. Shubert's interest in doing business with Brazil actually started long before that when he was an exchange student in the country in 2000. Recognizing an opportunity for the US and Brazil to do business together, he also discovered that Brazil was part of the BRICS, which is a group of five major emerging national economies (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa).
"Brazilians have an insatiable appetite for the American culture and doing business with Americans," Mr. Shubert stated. "Having been immersed into the social and business culture of Brazil, I understand what it takes for American companies to succeed in Brazil and vice versa. Many companies make the mistake of not having a profound understanding of the business culture of the market they want to enter. Being fluent in Brazilian Portuguese helps tremendously, too."
As the owner and managing director of his business, North Winds Trading Company, Mr. Shubert has concentrated and targeted an emphasis in Brazilian companies with market entry assistance into the US and assisting US companies who have interest in doing business in Brazil. These job responsibilities range from translation and interpretation services, go-to-market strategies, prospecting and sales, legal business set up, and more.
Mr. Shubert loves interacting with business owners, form start-ups to large corporations. Brazilians are very motivated to do business on any scale and have the entrepreneur spirit that it takes to be successful. Their motivation inspires him to help them expand internationally as well as show US based companies the growth potential they could experience by expanding their business internationally into Brazil. Currently working to set himself apart from other international consultants, Mr. Shubert hopes to establish his company as the international business guru for all things to know about Brazil.
In 2013, Mr. Shubert earned his BA in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
