National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Curtis L. Jones III as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry

Jones III, Human Resources Generalist for the City of Delray Beach, has been selected as an Honored Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. The selection recognizes Curtis L. Jones's commitment to excellence in Human Resources and Government.
Curtis L. Jones III began his career in 2010 as a revenue specialist II with the State of Florida Department of Revenue-Child Support Division. He worked in the Compliance Department, with a primary function of getting non-custodial parents back in compliance with their court-offered financial obligations. He then transitioned to the Court Division where he prepared case documents and dockets and testified on behalf of the Department during child support proceedings.
Presently working as a human resources generalist with the City of Delray Beach, Mr. Jones recruits and selects activities in advertisement, interviews, selection and evaluation of applicants, test development and administering applicant test procedures, calculating test scores and communicating results to applicants and management, and initiating background checks on candidates recommended for employment. He also assists with employee training and development, policy and procedure updates, and oversees various other aspects of the HR aspect of the business, such as reports, correspondence, personnel authorization forms, time records, and more.
"I have a hunger to help those that are seeking professional development in their careers as well as creating a positive, stress-free environment," Mr. Jones said. "I love putting smiles on faces and motivating personnel."
Looking forward to succession in his current organization and developing skills and knowledge to eventually become the assistant city manager, Mr. Curtis is eager for the future of his career.
Mr. Curtis holds a BS in Business Administration and Finance from Liberty University and an MS in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Public Administration, also from Liberty University. He is also an active member of Society of Human Resource Management, Florida Public Human Resources Association, and the Institute of Management and Accounting.
