National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Ben Atkinson as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry
The selection recognizes Ben Atkinson's commitment to excellence in Retail.
- Syracuse, NY (1888PressRelease) September 22, 2014 - Ben Atkinson, Store Manager for Baseballism, has been selected as an Honored Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals.
Ben Atkinson began his career in June 2013 when he was hired as an intern for Target retail stores. There, he learned to practice various skills such as leadership, branding, public speaking, and how to respond quickly to adversity.
Now, as the store manager for Baseballism since May 2014, a sports-inspired retail store located in Cooperstown, New York, Mr. Atkinson is able to share what he's learned with other employees, while continuing to hone his own skills in the retail market. With a responsibility to uphold the brand and oversee overall effectiveness of running the store, Mr. Atkinson supervises staff, serves as a master of the brand and problem solver, and displays leadership with passion, energy, and integrity.
"As a manager, one must find the balance of developing a professional relationship with employees while maintaining an authoritative role," Mr. Atkinson explained about his role. "When this balance is achieved, the business becomes very successful. Employees will respect you as the manager, but will also be willing to do their best to make the store succeed."
One of Mr. Atkinson's missions is to show the world just how great the sport of baseball can be, as there are many lessons we can learn from it. Hoping to also impact others in a positive way, he is eager for the future of his career in both baseball and retail management.
Mr. Atkinson holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Mount Union. He is also a baseball coach at SUNY Oneonta.
