The experience gave him the ability to blend his previously developed leadership, management, and customer service skills later with an in-bound call center environment.
Now an associate director at T-Mobile USA, Mr. Thompson is responsible for the deployment of approximately 500-700 employees at various levels in a contact center environment, while maintaining processes and activities on a real-time, daily basis. He is also required to staff, instruct, hire, schedule, lead model, motivate, budget, coach, develop, analyze, and organize teams so that customers', employees', and owners' wants and needs are exceeded.
When asked about his various experiences in his career, Mr. Thompson stated, "During my career, my various roles have grounded me on the importance of being a balanced leader, motivating employees and investing in their development to ensure they provide exceptional customer service."
Additionally, Mr. Thompson gets his own inspiration from his internal drive to exceed expectations and deliver on results.
Mr. Thompson aspires to continue to develop as an operations leader and attain the role of vice-president of operations within an organization within the next 2-5 years. He has earned numerous awards throughout his career, including a Society of Human Resource Management Best Place to Work Award in 2013 and a One of the Best Places to Work Award by Richmond Times Dispatch two years in a row. During his years with T-Mobile, they have led the organization as the top performing site, while maintaining a positive work environment, stellar employment satisfaction results, and accepting industry leading pilots to better the business and customer service.
