National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Joe Leonardo as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry

Joe Leonardo, who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Illinois State University, began his sales career in the automobile industry, followed by experience in wine and liquor distribution, then parlaying that into 12 successful years in the pharmaceutical industry. In July 2013, he became a licensed producer of Property/Casualty and Life/Health through the Illinois Department of Insurance.
As owner, consultant, and agent for his own business, Mr. Leonardo educates clients on insurance so that they understand their current coverage and options in order to make informed decisions on tailoring an insurance policy that best suits their needs. He offers solutions to insurance needs by investing the time necessary and never taking for granted that everyone fully understands their current policy or that their current coverage is the right fit for them.
"I relate to a wide array of people. I have never thought of myself as a sales person but rather a consultant who not only relishes the opportunity to work with a new client, but also is able to cultivate relationships by offering best-in-class service," Mr. Leonardo said, who is constantly inspired by his wife who serves as both a great support system and shining example as someone who also runs her own business.
Mr. Leonardo learned after working many years for large corporations, that his happiest, most well-adjusted friends were those that were in business for themselves. Farmers' Insurance allowed him to do this, and he is very grateful for the opportunity. Aspiring to become household name within his local community, Mr. Leonardo is currently completing a three-year "Career Agent" program with Farmers', at which time he will look to become a "Platform Agency", where he can hire and train new agents to become part of his agency. He plans to build the type of agency that, later in life, he will oversee but will be run entirely by trained professionals, hand-picked by him to do so.
During Mr. Leonardo's distinguished career, he was the recipient of the 'President's Circle of Excellence' Award with "Sepracor Pharmaceuticals" (now Sunovion), which, industry wide, is awarded only to the top 5% of a company. While in the automobile industry, he advanced from Fleet Manager to Assistant Business Manager after winning national recognition from "Honda of America" for being the #1 salesperson in his region.
