Henry Jr., VP of In-House Recovery at Regions Financial Corporation, has been selected as a VIP Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. The selection recognizes Robert F. Henry Jr.'s commitment to excellence in Finance, Banking, and Credit Services.
Robert F. Henry Jr. began his career as a collection representative for a third-party debt collection company in 2001, just one month after exiting the US Army with an honorable discharge.
Moving through the ranks, Mr. Henry now works for Regions Financial Corporation managing in-house recovery collections efforts. He manages the staffing, collection strategy, policy and procedure creation and revision, compliance with state and federal regulation, consumer complaint resolution, risk assessment and controls, and increasing shareholder value with monthly collection recoveries.
"I had the pleasure of having the CEO of Portfolio and Recovery Associates as my mentor early in my management career," Mr. Henry said. "He always talked about having a vision and sharing that vision with those that reported to him."
Also noting his parents that instilled hard work and commitment to his work ethic, Mr. Henry believes that anything is possible if you apply yourself. He is currently completing his Bachelor's Degree in Finance and plans to work toward becoming a VP of operations or finance for a well-established organization. His dream position, however, is to become a director of a federal call center such as the FBI. He is a recipient of a Leader of the Year Award from PRA in 2008, in addition to numerous awards and accommodates earned while serving in the US Army for his performance running the Battalion Training Section.
