National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Dan Velando as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry
Dan Velando, President of dvaDataStorage, has been selected as an Honored Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. The selection recognizes Dan Velando's commitment to excellence in Information Technology.
- Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (1888PressRelease) May 07, 2014 - Dan Velando earned a BS from Denver Technical College and his career as an instructor teaching end users a CAD software program, which was used for printed circuit board design. He has since worked for various other small and large companies in the technical field, holding positions such as trainer, storage engineer, and marketing and sales account manager. The technical skills he employed during this time, included Windows, UNIX, AIX, SUNOS, Microstation, SUN, IBM, Integraph, Dell, storage, backup software, SANs, backup appliances, and networking. Mr. Velando conducted his training to many throughout the US and at HP international training centers in England, France, and Japan.
"The experience I gained from positions I held in my career contributed to starting my business," Mr. Velando explained. "Since I have a technical background, I am able to understand and identify customer issues when discussing their storage and/or disaster recovery needs."
Founded in 2005, dvaDataStorage provide IT solutions and services to customers for their data centers. In the near future Mr. Velando hopes to be part of other businesses by providing them with an advisory role or by integrating dvaDataStorage into their business plans.
Mr. Velando is a member of VMWare Users Group, NW Tech Alliance, and Pacific NW Users Group. Two of his biggest professional achievements included teaching over 500 end users throughout the US, England, France, and Japan during his time working for a SUN/IBM reseller and starting the Dell customer training program, which consisted of a five-day course that included installing PowerEdge servers, Dell SANs, and LTO tape libraries at customer sites and the Dell corporate training center.
