He's been working in his current field since 2007 after taking early retirement from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) where he rose from the ranks of analyst to senior manager.
Ready to explore other career opportunities, Mr. Porchia began working for a large defense contractor in northern Virginia starting as a senior project manager. He later moved on to other defense contractor organizations where he served in various project and program management positions, assuming increasing levels of responsibility.
Founding his consulting firm in 2012, Mr. Porchia provides quality management solutions and technical resources to clients in the areas of strategic planning, program and project management support, including program management office start-ups, geospatial information support services, and cyber security engineering solutions. As president and general manager, Mr. Porchia also oversees business development, proposal management, marketing to potential clients at federal, state, and local government agencies, and building appropriate strategic partnerships.
"I have consistently been commended on my leadership and management skills and this area is what I am most passionate about," Mr. Porchia said. "My wife and son inspire me every day and I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel to many other countries observing people living in conditions most Americans couldn't imagine, which has inspired me."
