Ched E. Greenhill, who holds a BS in Engineering from Purdue University, has been working in the packaging and labeling machinery manufacturing and sales marketing fields for over 50 years. For the past 20 years, however, he has been running his own successful business, PLACOA.
As an independent entrepreneur and conceptual inventor, Mr. Greenhill is in charge of design, engineering, research development, manufacturing, and business management. Serving as the company's worldwide sales and marketing director, sales training director, sales distribution director, sales advertising director, and sales engineer, his extensive experience in the industry has provided him with a very successful, rewarding career.
"I inherited my father's genes," Mr. Greenhill admitted. "He was a very successful transportation entrepreneur during the Great Depression. I always had that yearning as well and I waited for that right opportunity to present itself. When it did, I took advantage of it and, to this day, my creed has been 'pursue, persist, persevere, succeed'".
Working for many years as an executive sales manager for national packaging equipment manufacturers such as IT&T, Stone Containers, Crown Cork & Seal, Pettibone-Mulliken, Colborne and Krones Corps, and several others, Mr. Greenhill has come a long way. Most recently, he has been involved in the development of the first-ever patentable trace-track motorless food safety instant-demand, high-production, printer-coder labeling system for the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, fresh produce packaging and other related industries. This is due to the considerable attention being focused on where produce originates from, where medicine ingredients are produced, as well as where bottled water and other beverages are distilled due to a rash of outbreaks of contamination. Mr. Greenhill is a patent holder of a high-speed, multi-lane, automatic labeling system, automatic skin-blister-shink packaging systems, a form-fill-seal packaging system, a bottom-up plastic bag filler and printer, and thermoforming and RDIF packaging systems. He is also the first to introduce a hand-held, air-operated produce labeler.
