- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) October 31, 2012 - NationAir Aviation Insurance has launched a new, consumer-friendly website devoted exclusively to light aircraft insurance, www.lightaircraft.nationair.com. The site enables pleasure and business aircraft owners to apply for a full quote online and handles many basic client services, such as requesting certificates, any time of the day or night.
"We live in a world where the need for client service doesn't stop with business hours," said NationAir President Jeffrey Bauer. "People who need aviation insurance will find our web-based services easy to access, follow and execute."
The new website has several key features:

One application will ensure access to a number of different underwriters on a customer's behalf, Bauer explained. After an application gets filed, NationAir account executives will contact applicants with a full quote within 24 to 48 hours.
"Aviation insurance customers will still be able to depend on the top-quality customer service that is the hallmark of NationAir's customer service team," Bauer added.
"I firmly believe we have the smartest and most helpful team of account executives in the industry," Bauer said. "Our new online capabilities will complement them, not replace them."
In addition to getting quotes and updating information, NationAir clients also can begin the claims process online with the new website, by reporting a claim, using NationAir's claims checklist, and contacting NationAir's claims advisor directly.
Other features of www.lightaircraft.nationair.com include a blog updated regularly by NationAir's pleasure and business professionals; an events calendar, and an expanded resources area with updated information about acronyms and terminology, aviation links, and an Insurance 101 section with frequently asked questions.
Light aircraft, also known as pleasure and business aircraft, refers primarily to single-engine, piston planes. NationAir's light aircraft business incorporates thousands of clients who fly virtually every type of aircraft manufactured, including many that are built by the clients themselves.
"Our pleasure and business clients have very specific needs that are different from those of our commercial clients," said Bauer. "It was important to us to provide them better service by creating a site that was tailored to their requirements."
