David Coutinho has been appointed as Managing Director of Nashua Limited.
- (1888PressRelease) November 23, 2011 - Following the announcement of possible restructuring within the Reunert group, and the confirmation that the Nashua group of companies will no longer be consolidated, David Coutinho has been appointed as Managing Director of Nashua Limited, effective November 2011.
Commenting on the appointment, Coutinho says that he plans to maintain Nashua's established success in the office automation market.
"Nashua is currently in a strong position, as we are number one in the South African office automation market. I plan to ensure that the company continues to live up to these high standards, leads the way in innovation, service and document management solutions, and performs smarter and better in all our endeavours."
Coutinho has been employed by Nashua Limited by for over 25 years. He started off as a technician and has since fulfilled a number of roles, including Sales Manager for franchises, and most recently, Sales Director.
He says that he plans to utilise the lessons he has learnt during his employment in his new role and engage with employees at a grassroots level.
"Having gained an intimate knowledge of, and passion for the Nashua brand during my time with the company, I have realised that a hands on approach reaps the most rewards. Therefore, I intend to lead by example, remain close to the ground and support my team consistently."
Coutinho notes that his appointment also presents a viable opportunity to leverage value across Nashua Limited.
"I want to ensure that there is more collaboration between the three Nashua brands, Nashua Limited, Nashua Communications and Nashua Mobile, which will allow us to cross share ideas, and leverage the established customer relationships that have been built on good service, and a solid, reliable product.
"Further, the opportunity also exists to leverage savings at an operational level, and drive better synergies through marketing strategies such as branding and sharing of sponsored events. Ultimately, these actions will add bottom line value to Nashua and brand equity."
He adds that the company plans to engage with its corporate accounts at a CIO, CEO and CFO level, in order to deliver more strategic and sustainable results for its clientele. This action, he says, will assist Nashua Limited's progression from a predominantly copier based company to a trusted printing solutions partner.
Coutinho concludes that his leadership will be defined by teamwork.
"Nashua's standing as a company is truly a collaborative effort, and all our success can be attributed to the hard work and dedicated service of Nashua employees. Moving forward, these same people will prove to be crucial in our drive to provide our customers with enhanced solutions which save them time and money, and put them first."
