NAFA Helps Sponsor The 5th Annual Imus Ranch Golf Outing
NAFA Fleet Management Association is proud to be a sponsor of the 5th Annual Imus Ranch Golf Outing, which raises money for the Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer.
- (1888PressRelease) September 05, 2012 - Social responsibility is something NAFA Fleet Management Association takes seriously. The Association utilizes its annual conference to help raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital via a silent auction each year and takes part in a Habitat for Humanity housing project in every conference host city. NAFA is proud to continue this trend with a sponsorship of the 5th Annual Imus Ranch Golf Outing that will take place on Monday, September 24th at the Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, NJ.
The annual golf outing raises money for the Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer. In 1999, popular radio host Don Imus and his wife founded the Imus Ranch, a working 4,000-acre cattle ranch near Ribera, New Mexico, for children with cancer as well as siblings of SIDS victims. The event is a full-day long affair that ends with live comedy entertainment from Rob Bartlett of the Imus in the Morning program. This year's online auction includes such amazing items as a Top Gun Experience for one person as a fighter pilot for a day in a military aircraft, tickets to any concert in the United States (travel and hotel accommodations included), and vacation packages to any participating Ritz-Carlton Hotel or Resort in the Contiguous United States.
NAFA's sponsorship of the golf outing is part of the Association's "Beyond Fleet" campaign to elevate the status of fleet managers throughout the business world. "This is an excellent venue for the Beyond Fleet campaign to reach powerful business executives" explained NAFA's Executive Director, Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "With the event sponsorship, NAFA gets to reach our core target audience and help raise money for a good cause at the same time. It's truly a win-win situation!
"We have long believed in social responsibility at NAFA," continued Russo. "In addition to our work with St. Jude's and Habitat for Humanity, NAFA has been instrumental in helping the environment through our support of alternative fuels for the past forty years. We believe that when you give you receive back even more. Our support of events like the Imus Ranch Golf Outing helps puts the concept of fleet management and fleet managers in front of the entire business world. We think it's time for business executives to take a new look at fleet management. We've always known how valuable they are to their companies and organizations. It's time the rest of the business community knows."
