Mystic Himalayas - Reetwika Banerjee's new travel tale series released
"Mystic Himalayas" is releasing in April on the eve of Bangla Nabo Barsho. The new book contains unknown tales of thirty Himalayan hamlets of Kashmir, Kumaon and North Bengal.
- (1888PressRelease) March 22, 2020 - "Mystic Himalayas" by Reetwika Banerjee is the second volume of her 'Travel Tales' series after "Bengal on Wheels" which presents folklores, colloquial legends and haunted stories of thirty unknown Himalayan hamlets of Kashmir, Kumaon and North Bengal. The book cover is that of an ancient temple complex in Jageshwar, one of the oldest Jyotirlingas of India, which says a lot about Reetwika's innovative storytelling. Travel tales with real photos of all the thirty places taken by author herself, makes it a special read.
Reetwika has dedicated this book to the man of the hills, Ruskin Bond and is all set to release the book in April on the eve of Bangla Nabo Barsho. When asked about the language of the book, Reetwika said, "I have purposely chosen to write the book in simple English so that my international readers too can appreciate our rich history, cultural past and heritage of India and the Himalayan belt. I am sure, after reading my book, many of them will plan their next trip to explore our country."
