MyOffice - The First Virtual Office Application Worldwide - Was Nominated For The IDC CIO Awards
The Avila Business Centers Virtual Office application for iPhone, iPad and Android was distinguished with a nomination for the IDC prizes.
- (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2012 - Lisbon - The Avila Business Centers, a company of turnkey physical spaces for renting, saw its myOffice solution be named for the IDC CIO Awards.
The CIO Awards aim to distinguish companies which turn to IT solutions to improve and optimize their business procedures, to show innovation in the creation of products or services, in their capacity to improve productivity of workers and use of the information to improve the decision processes. The awards have as objective to get to spread these solutions for companies to realize how partnerships between the so called IT areas and competence suppliers can bring forth positive results.

The CIO Awards are going to be revealed on the 19th of April 2012. The jury is composed by Carlos Marçalo, Director of Semana Informática, Fernando Bação, Associated Professor of the Statistics Superior Institute and Information Management of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Jaime Quesado, Strategy, Innovation and Competitiveness Specialist, José Dias Coelho, Cathedratic Professor of the Economy Department of the Univerdade Nova de Lisboa and President of the Portuguese Association for the Development of the Information Society, José Tribolet, Cathedratic Professor of the Engineering Department of the Instituto Superior Técnico and President of the Executive Commission of the INESC, Pedro Veiga, Cathedratic Professor of the IT Department of the Faculdade de Ciências, President of the Foundation for the Scientific Computation and for the Research Team of the IDC Portugal .
Launched in 2010, the myOffice was the first Virtual Office application worldwide oriented exclusively for PC/Mac, iPad and Smartphones. The myOffice allows professionals and companies having a virtual office to get notifications in real time about received telephonic contacts, correspondence and fax arrivals. In practical terms, companies start having access to the office, not only on their PC/Mac/iPad, but also on their mobile phones, wherever they are.
Clients can also have information about other Business Centers of an international network with around 300 partners, being this very useful in internationalization processes or in the development of projects abroad - through this mean they may, for example, open a virtual office in other countries and book meeting rooms.
The application is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, although it is foreseen the launch of the versions for Nokia and BlackBerry, among others.
