- (1888PressRelease) June 01, 2012 - Toronto, ON and Vancouver, BC - My Legal Briefcase and Clio announce integration to streamline practice management and small claims litigation.
Today at the 7th Annual Law Society of Upper Canada Solo and Small Firm Conference, My Legal Briefcase announced an integration with the leading provider of cloud-based practice management systems, Clio, to better serve a growing need for cloud-based systems in the legal industry. My Legal Briefcase and Clio have integrated Clio's practice management platform with My Legal Briefcase's small claims document and scheduling system to provide clients with a streamlined solution for their legal practices. Clients will benefit from a synchronization of their Clio and My Legal Briefcase accounts and a better ability to manage their contacts, case files, and scheduling. Through My Legal Briefcase, clients will have access to court forms and documents as well as features that will allow them to set up new case files in My Legal Briefcase and link them to their Clio account.
"I see a lot of potential to make a unique difference in the legal community. There are opportunities for great synergies between the two companies. This integration will help clients reduce the amount of time spent working on small cases and greatly improve cost efficiency," says founder and CEO Monica Goyal. "Instead of using two different systems, clients will be able to work from one portal and complete all their essential scheduling, case and client management tasks from one place. The cost and time savings can be substantial."
Jack Newton, CEO of Clio, adds, "My Legal Briefcase has developed ground-breaking technology to streamline the small claims litigation process. We're excited to deliver access to this technology to our customers based in Ontario and beyond."
Through this integration, My Legal Briefcase will be able to expand its footprint in North America and serve a greater client base in Canada and the U.S. As more legal professionals begin to adopt cloud-based systems and realize the benefits of cloud computing, My Legal Briefcase is set at the forefront of expanding its services.
