- (1888PressRelease) September 14, 2010 - The 12th Midi Music Festival aka Changjiang Midi Festival will take place on the tourist island Shi Ye Zhou right on the Changjiang (Yangtse) River in Zhenjiang City, between the 1st and 4th October 2010. With an astonishing program line up with international big names such as Soulfly, Shadows Fall, Finntroll, Loudness, Kyte, The Agonist etc. but also Chinese premiere league rockers like Tang Dynasty, He Yong, 2nd Hand Rose, Voodoo Kungfu, Suffocated, Yaksa and so forth, it will definitely be the best, Chinese rock festivals have to offer so far. Head-master of Midi School and festival guru Zhang Fan aims to become one of the best "Asian rock festivals with such a strong stage line up".
After the tremendous success of Midi Festival in May last year, Beijing Midi Music School and Zhenjiang City Administration have signed up for 10 years collaboration on Music Festivals and officially renamed Zhenjiang Midi Music Festival to Changjiang Midi Music Festival. After a long process of research and considerations, both sides picked the beautiful spot named Jing Jiang Du of the Changjiang River island Shi Ye Zhou. With the opening of the Festival, all music related radio and TV stations and online media will broadcast and report about this huge live event both in sound and pictures, as well.
