Music Industry Veteran, Wildman Teddy T, Helps At-Risk Students Find Their Passion For Business
Strictly About Business Volume 1 is showing at-risk teenagers possible career options in various professions.
- Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) June 04, 2018 - Theodore “Wildman Teddy T” Taylor has joined forces with Darrius “DJ Sco” Palmer to produce Strictly About Business Volume 1: The Making of a Multi Media Company, a DVD and soundtrack project created by at-risk students enrolled in the T.E.E.S. (Teens Exercising Extraordinary Success) program, a curriculum that comes from the A Nu Foundation Arts, Entertainment, and Business Academy, an inaugural program that is being taught at Sunrise
High School.
The A Nu Foundation Arts, Entertainment, and Business Academy, founded by Theodore Taylor, was created as a way to assist at-risk teens with getting one step closer to graduation while preparing them for the world of business through strengthening their communication ability, critical thinking skills, and interpersonal skills, amongst many other skills needed for them to be successful in life.
The program began with 9 students who, statistically, would have dropped out of school before receiving their high school diplomas. These 9 students, ranging in ages 16 – 20 with 4 students being in their Senior year, were chosen by the school’s principal and faculty members who saw the potential of what could be if provided with the right opportunity and guidance.
“This year gave me a very valuable experience. When these 9 students were first introduced to me and inducted into this program, they had never met each other. They were already kicked out of their former high schools, and Sunrise High School was their last chance for high school completion. In one year the attendance of these students improved, their grades improved, and their overall attitude towards life improved. They walked away with more knowledge about themselves, the music business, and the ability to do something that without this program they may never have had the opportunity to do, “ says A Nu Foundation founder, Theodore Taylor.
Strictly About Business is a multi-media and publishing company that these 9 students created and registered with the State of Florida with the help of this program. The DVD showcases the journey of these students from the beginning of the program to now. This includes meeting and working with celebrities such as Flo Rida and Juvenile, creating and recording their own tracks, showcasing their production skills, learning about the importance of administrative paperwork, and so much more.
Strictly About Business Volume 1: The Making of a Multi Media Company will be hosting an official release party on June 13th at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center in Fort Lauderdale. The Strictly About Business Volume 1: The Making of a Multi Media Company DVD and Soundtrack is set to be release on June 28, 2018.
