Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney's James Murphy Named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers
Murphy was inducted into the College at its spring meeting in San Antonio, Texas on March 5.

Murphy, founding member of Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney, P.C., has been named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal associations in America. Murphy was inducted into the College at its spring meeting in San Antonio, Texas on March 5.
Founded in 1950, the ACTL is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. College membership is limited to the top one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Fellowship status is extended by invitation only, after careful investigation, to experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years of trial experience to be considered for Fellowship.
Murphy's practice emphasizes professional liability, including representation of lawyers in malpractice cases nationwide and judges in disciplinary proceedings before the California Commission on Judicial Performance, as well as general products liability litigation. To date, Murphy has tried more than 75 cases to verdict.
In addition to the ACTL, Murphy is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and National Board of Trial Advocates. He is a certified specialist in legal malpractice by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys and chair of the State Bar of California Board of Specialization Legal Malpractice Consulting Group. Murphy earned his J.D. from the University of California, Davis and his B.A. from St. Mary's College.
