Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney Elevates Three to Shareholder in San Francisco Office
Thomas "Tip" Mazzucco, Thomas D'Amato and Janet Everson have been elevated to shareholders, effective Jan. 1.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) December 09, 2010 - Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney, P.C. announces the elevations of San Francisco attorneys Thomas "Tip" Mazzucco, Thomas D'Amato and Janet Everson to shareholders, effective Jan. 1. The elevations bring the total number of firmwide shareholders to 14.

With extensive courtroom experience, Mazzucco counsels clients in white collar, internal fraud and federal grand jury matters. A former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California and a former Assistant District Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco, Mazzucco focuses on commercial, corporate and general litigation, white collar criminal defense, grand jury representation and internal corporate investigations.
A member of the San Francisco Police Commission, Mazzucco is responsible for setting policies and procedures for the San Francisco Police Department, Office of Citizen Complaints and San Francisco Patrol Specials, conducting weekly public meetings and sitting in a quasi-judicial capacity in administrative disciplinary hearings. He earned his J.D. from San Francisco Law School (1988) and his B.A. in economics from the University of California at Berkeley (1982).
D'Amato's practice encompasses all forms of civil litigation, including professional liability defense, commercial and business litigation, intellectual property, real estate, employment and personal injury. In addition, he counsels individuals, businesses, homeowners' associations and other organizations on a wide array of legal issues, including operations and governance, compliance, risk management and contracts, among others.
Active in the legal community, D'Amato is member of the Defense Research Institute and serves on the Professional Liability Steering Committee and as its Young Lawyers Committee Liaison. He is also member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. D'Amato earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2001) and his B.A. in U.S. history and economics from the University of California, San Diego (1998).
Focusing on professional liability claims, Everson counsels individual lawyers and accountants, as well as law firms, accounting firms and small to mid-sized businesses. She regularly interacts with the tax authorities on behalf of clients to correct late elections, reduce or eliminate penalties or otherwise mitigate damages before litigation is commenced. A frequent speaker and author, Everson is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. She received her L.L.M. in taxation from Golden Gate University (2009), her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law (2000) and her B.A. from San Diego State University (1995).
