Murata USA's FG Series Demonstrates Process Integration
Muratec's latest FG Series cell loader systems bring new levels of flexibility to sheet-metal automation.
- Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2011 - The fully automated, servo-controlled loading and sorting systems of Muratec USA's FG Series brings unparalleled flexibility and productivity to sheet metal forming and material handling. A subsidiary of Murata Machinery Ltd., based in Kyoto, Japan, Murata Machinery USA, Inc.'s machine tool division produces a variety of high-productivity machines for the metal-forming and metal-cutting industries.
Muratec's latest FG Series cell loader systems bring new levels of flexibility to sheet-metal automation by adopting advanced servo-control technology for axis drive, programmable parts-stacking patterns and integrated Fanuc-based FMS-control systems. Micro-pointless parts production enables the loaders to remove finished parts processed by punch press or laser cut, then neatly sort and stack them on finished parts pallets. Expandable loader arms with multiple vacuum pads and programmable stacking patterns give them the flexibility to unload different shapes and sizes of finished sheets and parts automatically, reliably and efficiently according to customer requirements. The FG-Series' space-saving compact design also enables operators to load and unload from either side of the punch press for greater flexibility, efficiency and productivity.
"Muratec's FG Series is a line of pick-and-place loader-sorters that facilitates automation in process integration," explained Cary Teeple, Midwest Regional Sales Manager, Murata Machinery USA, Inc. "The FG Series shows how Muratec's award-winning technology combines 'Reliability By Design' with custom flexibility at a great value. In blank-sheet processing, the turret punch press has the unique ability to eliminate both pre-operation shearing and multiple-post operations such as tapping, deburring, and forming, which results in reduced costs and increased profits. That's a textbook example of process integration."
Located in Charlotte, NC, Murata Machinery USA, Inc., specializes in applications, service and sales of turret punch presses, material handling equipment and machine tool technology.
