MultipleSclerosis-Go Calendar Connects Patients To Support
Web based calendar and e-mail alerts connect Multiple Sclerosis patients and caretakers to support groups, information sessions, and more.
- Hartford, CT (1888PressRelease) January 05, 2015 - Living with a medical condition is difficult for both the person with the condition and the caretaker. Many people in this situation report feeling overwhelmed and alone. There are many support groups and educational presentation to help, but many people don't know how to find them. To assist this population, The Modern Observer Group and RC Media have launched Support Info-Go starting with MultipleSclerosis-go.com (http://www.multiplesclerosis-go.com).
Support Info-Go is a series of web-based calendars and e-mail newsletters focused on providing an up-to-date event listing for people with various medical conditions. The first calendar/newsletter to launch is multiplesclerosis-go.com for events in the state of Connecticut. Throughout 2015 this calendar will be rolled out nationwide and joined by sites for cancer, dementia, autism, Parkinson's disease and others.
"Our goal is to make life easier for people with various medial challenges," said Eric Lopkin, president of The Modern Observer Group. "From the time a medical condition is diagnosed it can feel isolating. We want to make it simple for people to connect with each other in person and find the support and information they need."
"People with MS constantly ask me how to find these events," explains Ray Charpentier, owner of RC Media. "It takes a great deal of time to find all the events and not everyone has that kind of time to spend. That shouldn't keep them from getting the support they need."
Charpentier and Lopkin are no strangers to living with disabilities. Charpentier lives with MS while Lopkin is legally blind. Both have had to adapt to their conditions while running their respective businesses. The two joined forces to help others connect with other people in similar situations as well as locating the resources that they have had to struggle to find.
