Multiple RFID Antenna Designs Available in New Developer's Kit; Makes Network Development Easier
Mobile Mark has packaged a variety of antennas into the new RFID Developer's Kit. Three different options are available including a low-gain package, a high-gain package and the complete package with nine different RFID antenna designs.
- (1888PressRelease) August 02, 2011 - Schiller Park, IL - The learning curve for RFID networks is still pretty steep and one of the remaining areas of mystery is the RFID antenna designs. Designing an efficient RFID system can be challenging. Each network is different and faces unique challenges. A set-up that works in one store or factory may not work in the next due to an unexpected source of interference.
Mobile Mark has made RFID network design easier with the new pre-packaged RFID Developer's Kit which allows network designers to experiment with different RFID antenna designs.
Michael Berry, President, explained, "Gain and Polarity requirements can vary greatly from setting to setting. In some cases the RFID installation will work better with more gain and in other cases it will work better with less gain. Similarly, some settings will require circular polarity and other settings will operate better with linear polarity." The Developer's Kit is a convenient way to see the impact of different RFID antenna designs.
Nine different models are available ranging from the compact CVS-915 (2.5 dBi gain, linear polarity) to the powerful PN10-915RCP (10 dBic, right hand circular polarity). The Kits cover US RFID systems at 915 MHz or European systems at 868 MHz. Additional antennas are available for 2.4 GHz RTLS systems.
Three different options are available. The Complete Package includes all nine RFID antenna designs. The Lower Gain Package includes the five smallest antennas and the Higher Gain Option includes the five largest antennas. The versatile PN6-915RCP, 6 dBi panel antenna, is included in all three of the packages.
