- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) January 18, 2012 - The 2012 NAMM Show will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim CA, January 19-22 with more than 90,000 registrants, 1400 exhibitors, events, performances and so much more.
This year "The King of New Jack Swing" Legend Teddy Riley brings his technical expertise and production excellence to the masses and will be conducting state of the art demonstrations for PreSonus Studio One 2.0 - an experience you don't want to miss!
Studio One is a new, integrated approach to recording music, from tracking to mixing to mastering and distribution. It is a creative environment built for intuitive use, speed, and efficiency and yet it is robust enough for the most complex productions.
According to a recent article in Sound on Sound Magazine, PreSonus Studio One 2.0 is a new plug-in standard called Audio Random Access (ARA) which, it is claimed, allows add-on software from third parties to integrate at a far deeper level than is possible with any of the established protocols.
They also state it is only supported by one add-on at the moment, but it is a big name: Studio One is currently the only application that integrates Celemony's Melodyne directly into its arrange page, so you can use Melodyne as if it were a part of the host application. The flagship Professional version of Studio One includes a license for Melodyne Essential, making its already keen pricing look excellent value.Other new features include a comprehensive implementation of transient detection, editing and groove quantising, allowing you to tighten up multi-track drum recordings or conform other material to a freely played part.
Teddy Riley is also a big fan of the PreSonus Native Effects plug-ins and virtual instruments, as well. "I think they are incredible," he enthuses. "The EQs and the limiter are what we use on the master. We also use the multi-band compressor and it gives an aggressiveness on the vocals and even a punch on the kick. The best way to use it is while you're in your workspace - the Arrange window; then, when you bring it into mastering, it is not clipping. When you do anything inside the sequencer part of Studio One, it is very aggressive."
Here's more hot news to byte on! "Teddy Riley has come home." AKAI MPC Original Sound and is back big time. Stay tuned for more details.
