Muli Announces Ngipi Project Accounting For New Ventures
A new software product called Ngipi was launched today to serve the needs of new businesses in the construction industry and other project based businesses. Ngipi is based upon an established solution called Muli and is a 2-user hosted only offering.
- (1888PressRelease) July 07, 2011 - Muli Management Pty Ltd, an Australian software developer of construction accounting solutions, today announced the launch of Ngipi, a project accounting solution for new business ventures.
Ngipi is based on the company's flagship product, "Muli", a long established benchmark for integrated construction accounting software. Designed from the project managers perspective, Muli is noted for its focus on project costing, project reviews, the management of subcontracts and the approval of progress claims.
Managing director Ron Skeoch said "In the 30 years we've been in business we regularly meet new construction companies starting up. Some can afford an investment in the full Muli product and go on to become either successful family businesses or grow into national enterprises. Today we are assisting those on lesser budgets to have the same advantage of using industry specific software that introduces processes and disciplines to lessen the risks and give a start-up business a better chance of survival."
Ngipi project accounting will be supplied only as a Hosted 2 User Licence, as this is ideal for the start-up phase until business growth demands additional staff. By using a hosted (sometimes called cloud) solution new ventures avoid the expense of server hardware and the effort associated with software updates and regular data backups.
Using a subset of Muli's programs, Ngipi satisfies the key requirements including Projects, Budgets, Variations, Orders, Contract Correspondence, Project Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger. Ngipi clients will also have a choice of one extension module - either "Subcontractors" or "Small Jobs".
"Ngipi" is an Aboriginal word from Australia's Arnhem Land, meaning "Shell" and according to Ron Skeoch, "our Ngipi software provides new businesses with a protective shell made of key project data and vital information on liquidity and profitability."
As Ngipi users grow they can take advantage of the full Muli product and use the same database without having to convert files or retrain staff - the only visible difference being the background colour and logo on the screen plus of course the extra Menu choices available. When they move to Muli they can also opt for an in-house server if that's their preferred deployment option.
Initially Ngipi will be available only to Australian users but there are plans to extend its coverage to the Asia-Pacific region.
