Mrida launches its “Earthspired”range of healthy multigrain flours
These Millet and Amaranth based Flours/Attas provide essential nutrients to the body, even as they serve a worthy social and environmental cause.
- (1888PressRelease) March 30, 2018 - Mrida, through its FMCG brand “Earthspired”, has launched a range of healthy multi-grain millet and amaranth based flours, to suit every taste, every requirement. Earthspired represents a healthy, wholesome and ‘straight from rural India’ business.
Understanding the need for healthy flour choices without fortificants, a range of flour mixes comprising “Nutri-cereals” (also referred as wonder seeds) has been formulated to give more nutritious and healthy blends, along with good taste and convenience of preparation and use. The Earthspired range, through its “More Millets More Health” value proposition, provides wholesome nutrition fulfilling specific health requirements.
Earthspired multigrain flours/attas represent a judicious blend of millets and amaranth to provide healthier alternatives to the regular rice and wheat based offerings and the more refined, white staples that clutter our tables and menus today. Ease of preparation and use, and painstaking sensory evaluations to ensure that good health also means good taste, are some of the other qualities that Mrida seeks to bring to consumer’s kitchens, tables and plates through Earthspired.
“Millets have complex carbohydrates with high fibre and low simple sugars. Because of this they have a relatively low glycemic index and have been shown to produce lower blood sugar levels than wheat or rice. Consumption of millets provides more satiety and lowers hunger pangs. Millets also hydrate the colon and act as a pre biotic feeding micro flora in your inner ecosystem’, says Ms. Iksha Chhabra, Business Head & Advisor (FMCG), Mrida. Millets consume less water as compared with rice and wheat and are hence much more environment friendly as well, she adds.
