Mr. Taxi Hailed As First Official Sponsor Of The Kentucky Bourbon Trail(R) Tour
Mr. TaxiŽ, the next generation of taxi and transportation service in Lexington and Bardstown, is the first-ever official sponsor of the prestigious Kentucky Bourbon TrailŽ tour of distilleries.

The announcement marks the first time that the Kentucky Bourbon TrailŽ experience, created by the Kentucky Distillers' Association in 1999, has authorized an official sponsorship.

Johnson said sponsorships only will be available to select transportation companies, restaurants and bars, hotels and inns, tourism attractions and convention and visitors' bureaus.
All must have a link to the Bourbon industry or the responsible consumption of spirits.

Using state-of-the-art booking, applications and tracking technology, Mr. Taxi offers flexible and affordable Bourbon packages to all seven distilleries that participate in the Kentucky Bourbon TrailŽ experience.
The iconic journey features Four Roses and Wild Turkey in Lawrenceburg; Heaven Hill in Bardstown; Jim Beam in Clermont; Maker's Mark in Loretto; Town Branch in Lexington and Woodford Reserve in Versailles.

KDA President Eric Gregory applauded Mr. Taxi's support and said the sponsorship program is a result of the skyrocketing global popularity of Kentucky Bourbon and the historic tour.

Kentucky Bourbon TrailŽ distilleries have logged more than 2 million visits in the last five years, with 450,000 in 2011 alone, Johnson said. Visitors have traveled from all 50 states and more than 50 countries, he said.
The KDA's Passport program - which rewards visitors who tour all participating distilleries - set a record with nearly 12,000 completions last year, Johnson said. That milestone will fall soon as distilleries are reporting double digit increases in attendance.
