Moviepostershop.com Unveils "Lisbeth Salander" Advance Posters
Company releases exclusive first look at two new posters from LisbethSalander.com torn from the pages of "The Girl Who Played with Fire".
- (1888PressRelease) April 28, 2011 - Vancouver, BC - Online retailer Moviepostershop.com (www.moviepostershop.com) has released a new set of advance posters ripped from the pages of the book, "The Girl Who Played with Fire".
The new posters revealed today are added to the previous two advance posters the company released exclusively a few weeks ago. All the posters can be seen at (www.moviepostershop.com/feature/micro/exclusive-lisbeth-salander-posters/).
The posters are being used to promote the launch of an exciting new website, LisbethSalander.com. The website is using movie studio tactics and releasing several posters in advance of the site's official debut.
The advance posters that are being released today feature scenes from the second book in the series: "The Girl Who Played with Fire". The poster titles and scenes are representative of the dark side and tone from the books of the Millennium Trilogy, "Brutal Swedish Barbarians" and "Espirit de Corpse".
Lisbeth Salander is the main protagonist in the Millennium Trilogy series of books, written by the late Stieg Larsson. The three novels have sold over 50 million copies worldwide. The three books were adapted for television in Sweden and released cinematically to great success worldwide.
Director David Fincher is directing the first English-language movie adaptation, beginning with "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". Actors Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig have been tapped for the two leads, with Mara taking the titular role. The film is in production in Sweden. The movie is set to hit US theaters December 21, 2011.
