Morton Grove Library Board Candidates To Hold Forum
Four candidates running for Morton Grove Library Board known as B-PAC are holding a forum/meet the candidates event at the Civic Center on Tuesday, March 22 at 7pm.
- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) March 22, 2011 - With two weeks remaining before the hotly contested local Library Board election, the Morton Grove coalition known as B-PAC has secured space at the Morton Grove Civic Center (located at 6140 Dempster Street in Morton Grove) to hold a meet the candidates forum on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 starting at 7 pm.
The candidates plan to share their 19 point position paper on important issues including the facts on how they plan to make the Morton Grove Public Library modern, technologically savvy, handicapped accessible, and fiscally responsible.
"Voters already know that we oppose the building of a new library building. We have said to everyone that constructing an expensive and expansive new building is irresponsible in these tough economic times." said Mark Albers, one of the four B-PAC candidates. "B-PAC.org will answer any questions voters have about us and how B-PAC plans to move this Library into the future." further stated Mr. Albers.
Catherine Peters is the "P" in B-PAC stated: "It is exciting to be able to provide all of the information that the voters need at our forum or on our new website at www.b-pac.org.
B-PAC has issued and invitation to their opposition and everyone concerned with issue to attend the forum. They also remind interested citizens to visit B-PAC.org before they cast their vote; either during the current early voting period ending March 31 or on Election Day, April 5, 2011.
B-PAC clearly states they are not affiliated with any political party. It is made up of four people, Paul Berg, Catherine Peters, Mark Albers and Dr. David Calimag, and is named for the first letters of their last names. B-PAC' s stated beliefs are Books, People, Accountability and Credibility make up the ideas behind a good library and B-PAC also means that Better People Are Coming.
